Fort Worth Avenue Development Group Announces Creation of Western Heights Cemetery Association 

The Fort Worth Avenue Development Group today announced the formation of the Western Heights Cemetery Association, a new nonprofit organization that will begin management and oversight of historic Western Heights Cemetery beginning January 1, 2026. The group will be led by Van Johnson, who will serve as president, and Randy Osteen, who will be vice president.

“We are excited to be continuing the great work that the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group started when it committed to managing Western Heights in 2002,” said Johnson. “We are committed to honoring those buried here through dedicated research and restoration efforts, family outreach, and community education and events. We also want Western Heights to be a peaceful and beautiful place to visit through ongoing conservation and natural landscaping efforts.”
